Well what can I sayâŠit was an incredible experience working with Matt Jones at the Clevedon Tennis Club. Situated in a serene country town where youâll find everything you need, despite the size and a lively city, Auckland Centre is only about a 30 minute drive away. Coaching the kids and adults from Clevedon and Hunua was such a pleasure because they all wanted to learn this challenging sport, and understood that patience and hard work plays an important role. Making the lessons fun, kept their interest up and I really enjoyed all the pupils that I worked with. So polite, friendly, helpful and just great fun!Â
Biking through town for my morning lessons, having a nice break from about 11am to 3pm then lessons from 3:30 to 8.30 pm. Every hour you have different kids, age, and level which make these consecutive hours fly by.Â
Cardio tennis was a blast to teach! These competitive and fun adults just made my day!Â
Matt is so kind and will take care of you and help you with whatever you need. So nice to have a boss that is flexible and lets you teach your lessons the way you want. Thank you Matt for this unforgettable experience working with you.

I worked with Matt Jones for 2 months and the experience was simply incredible! Unfortunately my time in NZ was cut short due to the corona virus but itâs safe to say whether coaching adults or children, club or school, Matt always combines fun with learning. The balance between collaboration and competition with the players is always wisely chosen, which kept both the interest and motivation high.
Having Matt as a boss was always a pleasure. He let me teach the lessons in the way I was used to and always provided me with feedbacks and advice.
I can definitely claim that my coaching has improved thanks to Mattâs experience and knowledge.
In addition to this great coaching experience, Matt also helped me to have an amazing social experience that improved my english. Matt provided me accommodation with a host family and introduced me to a lot of people.
Matt is the perfect balance between a boss and a friend which made my experience unforgettable.
